We’re seeking an experienced cybersecurity writer and strategic content marketer to join our team as a Content Marketing Manager. In this role, you’ll help shape the voice of 1Password for the web and performance channels, crafting high-performing landing pages and ads that convert security and IT decision-makers. Your work will turn complex value into crisp, compelling copy that drives measurable outcomes across our site and paid programs.

As a Content Marketing Manager, you’ll support web & paid media copy end-to-end, from brief and message hierarchy to experimentation and optimization. You’ll partner closely with Performance Marketing, Digital Web Experience, Design, and Product Marketing to plan, develop, and ship campaigns that grow qualified traffic, improve on-site conversion, and accelerate pipeline. You’ll report to our Sr. Editor and collaborate with our Director and cross-functional partners.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.



What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience with a portfolio including web pages and ad creative that shows strong headline/CTA craft and message clarity.

  • 2+ years creating web & paid media content (e.g., landing pages, Google/LinkedIn ads) with a performance mindset (CTR/CVR/CPL).

  • 2+ years writing for a B2B technology company; cybersecurity experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in A/B testing copy and working with analytics dashboards (e.g., GA4, Looker, Optimizely, VWO).

  • Comfort writing SEO-aware copy (search intent, semantic coverage) without sacrificing clarity or brand voice.

  • Fluency collaborating with performance marketing, PMM, and Digital Web Experience teams; able to work in Figma and CMSes to stage/publish updates.

  • Experience guiding AI-assisted ideation while safeguarding voice and accuracy (human in the loop).


What you can expect:

  • Own conversion-focused web copy for 1Password.com (home page, campaigns, and landing pages), from brief to ship; partner with Creative and Digital Web Experience teams to ensure message-to-visual alignment.

  • Write, test, and iterate paid media copy (search, display, paid social, video) with our performance team; produce multiple variants per asset with clear hypotheses.

  • Collaborate with SEO and Analytics to A/B test headlines/CTAs, interpret CTR/CVR/lead quality, and scale winning treatments.

  • Translate security and identity concepts into simple, human benefits that resonate with diverse buyer personas.

  • Contribute to message maps and page briefs: problem/benefit hierarchy, objection handling, and proof (stat, customer quote, analyst cred).

  • Maintain and evolve brand voice across short-form surfaces (hero banners, h1/h2s, CTAs, form microcopy, error/empty states).

  • Partner with designers in Figma to prototype copy in context, providing rationale and alternatives for stakeholder review and feedback.

  • Document and socialize copy guidelines for web/ads, including tone, scannability, and accessibility (readability targets, alt text patterns).

  • Leverage AI tools to optimize editorial workflows, streamline content production, and enhance research capabilities.



USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $99,000 USD and $135,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $
94,000 CAD and $128,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
