Backflip is a venture-backed real estate FinTech company that supports entrepreneurs to acquire and renovate single family homes, thereby reinvigorating the housing supply and their local communities. The company offers purpose-built technology and capital products to source, analyze and finance residential real estate investments. Backflip is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, generating valuable insights, and providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor (~60 person team) working directly with executives in a fast-paced and well-capitalized startup (Series A).

What You’ll Do:
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and key insights
- Develop and maintain company-wide reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide analytical support
- Prepare and present reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to data-driven decision-making
This role will evolve as the company grows; there will be various tasks that fall outside of the responsibilities above.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience as an analyst, preferably in a startup environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Expert proficiency in SQL and at least one visualization framework
- Proficiency in git/github
- Proficiency in Python
- Startup experience is a plus
