Emerging Leader Intern, DISCO
The Emerging Leader Internship is a highly-selective, eight week program with structured learning, a rotational work experience, a capstone project, and ongoing learning and career development. Throughout this immersive experience, you will develop expertise in one department alongside a diverse cohort of your peers. This opportunity provides each Emerging Leader intern with the ability to make an impact on core strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will gain a deep understanding of our company and the legal tech industry. At the end of the program, successful interns will be offered a post-graduation, full-time position with DISCO, and entry into the Emerging Leaders Rotation Program.
What You’ll Do
Structured learning: You will begin your journey in DISCO University, where business leaders and professors equip you with the DISCO and industry-specific business, legal, leadership and technical expertise you need to thrive in your working rotation.
Project work: During the course of your internship you will be assigned various projects from your rotation’s department. Additionally, you will have a capstone project summarizing your work and value to the business with an opportunity to present your findings to senior leadership.
Meet your class: As an intern during downtime, you will get to know Austin/NYC and your colleagues through team building and social events.
Rotational work experiences: Spend your internship learning the basics of our business in a working rotation, completing real work as part of a team, with the guidance, direction and feedback of a manager who is specially trained to bring out the best in our new hires. You’ll learn the ropes and master your craft through frequent 1x1s, feedback, and on the job coaching.
Ongoing learning and career development: Throughout your working rotation, you will participate in continuous leadership and professional development. You will receive support for your learning and career goals through a variety of assessments, one-to-one coaching, and capable, trained people managers.
Who You Are
- Working towards a Bachelor’s from a top-ranked university
- Graduation dates between December 2024 and June 2025 (This cohort starts in June 2024)
- 3.5 GPA or above
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and produce results
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Highly effective communicator and collaborator
- Eager to tackle any challenge
- Passionate about the ability of technology to improve society and lives
Even Better If You Have
- Proven leadership experience—demonstrated track record of leadership in student organizations, athletics, or elsewhere; you inspire people to work with you to achieve great things
- Interest in law
- Interest in hyper growth post IPO companies
