Your Impact

The Creative Director steers the creative vision and fulfills all design needs for DISCO. This individual drives the development and execution of design across various channels, collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and delivers captivating visual content that aligns with our company's goals and values.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develops and implements a comprehensive creative vision and strategy that supports our company's brand identity, objectives, and growth plans. Provides creative direction and guidance to the internal creative team, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Stays up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and designs best practices to drive continuous improvement and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Creative Direction and Execution: Leads the development and execution of impactful visual designs, branding initiatives, and marketing campaigns across various platforms (print, digital, social media, etc.). Regularly creates design deliverables, including but not limited to: collateral, event invites, webinar graphics, signage, executive presentations, and more. Oversees the creation of engaging multimedia content, including videos, animations, and infographics, ensuring they effectively communicate our messaging and enhance the user experience. Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and executive teams, to align creative strategies with business goals and requirements.
  • Team Management and Development: Manages and mentors internal designer and creative marketing managers - providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship opportunities. Fosters a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and accountability. Manages external creative specialists when needed, including video editors, agencies, and copywriters. Oversees project workflow, resource allocation, and timelines, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of high-quality creative assets.
  • Brand Consistency and Guidelines: Maintains and enforces brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all marketing materials, communication channels, and touchpoints. Partners with stakeholders to refine and evolve our brand identity, ensuring it reflects our company's values, mission, and target audience. Conducts regular brand audits and provides recommendations for optimizing visual communication and messaging.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in a Senior Art Director or Art Director role
  • Experience as an In-House Creative Director preferred

Skills

  • Expert in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma)
  • Ability and interest to stay up to date on design trends; thinking out of the standard B2B/corporate box is a must
  • Amiable and effective collaborator; requires deep understanding of expectations and feedback from stakeholders (non-designers), and turning them into actionable design direction
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
  • Strong writer and understanding of how to pair message with design; creative direction requires light copywriting in some cases
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Multimedia and/or video editing experience a plus
