GreenLite is seeking a Chief of Staff for the Business Development and Expansion team. A proven utility player reporting to and working with the Chief Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in developing strategies and leading execution of important initiatives across areas of new growth for the business. Primarily, your efforts will be focused on leading across three core pillars:
- Strategic partnerships and performance marketing
- Brand strategy, thought leadership and influence
- Government relations and legislative affairs
You will take full ownership of projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment, working with our team, customers, partners, advisors and technology as we groundbreak new lines of effort for the business. This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate and coordinate across the entire company as well as with external partners and stakeholders. You will be expected to build cross-functional plans, lead execution of these plans and track insights as we learn and grow. You will continuously communicate insights to leadership while making business cases for resource allocation in support of strategic decision-making for GreenLite.
Here are some examples of what you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement marketing plans to discover and resource channels that deliver desired outcomes with repeatable ROI
- Test marketing technology and partners and own their integration and utilization
- Track, report and advise on marketing performance across multiple channels
- Develop and own the content strategy and calendar supporting the GreenLite brand and our growth efforts
- Draft, edit and publish content that quickly elevates and maintains GreenLite as an influential thought-leader in the space
- Identify opportunities and organize strategy and efforts for both in-person and remote/online speaking engagements for key stakeholders (including you) at GreenLite
- Develop and co-lead strategic policy and political efforts with identified officials, staff and organizations
- Help design and build GreenLite’s reputation and positioning across key influencers and organizations in government and industry
- Coordinate with advisors and partners to shape and support policy to achieve strategic outcomes for GreenLite and our customers
- Travel in support of partnerships, customers, brand building, thought leadership and legislative priorities
- Support to routine Board meetings and other important leadership engagements

- Increased sales resulting from partnerships and performance marketing efforts
- Strong new logo win rates and existing logo retention rates
- Maturing performance marketing efforts rooted in predictable ROI from paid and unpaid channels
- Strongly measured brand awareness, website visits and content engagement
- GreenLite thought leadership routinely delivered in-person and widely shared online
- Regular invitations to speak at conferences, trade shows, policy shops and with government
- GreenLite servicing new geographies with meaningful population coverage quickly
- Elected leaders and other public officials providing support to GreenLite and our efforts to influence change across the country
Qualifications & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking or leadership at a top-tier early stage venture
- Architecture, construction and engineering experience preferred, not required
- Creative, results-driven thinker and excellent problem solver
- Exceptional communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and empathy
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, lead conflict resolution and negotiations important to the business
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Independent thinker with the ability to find the tools & resources to be successful
- Detail-oriented and analytical, producing high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
- Comfortable working on greenfield projects & willingness to embody the culture & principles of an early-stage company
