What You’ll Do:

• Own large pieces of our backend codebase: Python, Flask, and SqlAlchemy
• Lead projects pulling performance critical parts out of our core codebase into high performance real-time microservices.
• Develop data/analytics pipelines
• Measure and improve performance across all of our systems.
• Build integrations with third party APIs: Slack, o365, Zendesk, Teams, etc.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ Years working professionally with distributed systems
• Experience with Python and microservice architectures
• Comfortable working with a small team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
• Experience in all stages of the Software Development cycle from concept to production
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects

Preferred Skills:

• Experience writing Rust and/or Go
• AWS, Kubernetes, Kinesis, ElasticSearch, terraform
• Experience developing highly scalable backend microservices in AWS
• Experience working with NLP, Spacy and/or Huggingface is a plus
