Fresh off our Series A, this rapidly growing company is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our scaling, fast-paced team. This role will work closely with our VP of Marketing and Account Executives on our core prospecting activities. Our 18 - 24 month program is centered around lead generation and talent development. From their first day, our BDRs are trained weekly on core sales skills that help them drive impact through lead generation and qualification during and after the BDR role. Successful graduates from our BDR program progress into more advanced sales roles which provides increased earning potential, and our promote-from-within culture propels our most committed and innovative BDRs into leadership roles within sales and business development. Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who has grit and a great work ethic, is passionate, and full of intellectual curiosity.

Overall your responsibility is to generate new business sales leads through a mixture of cold calling, following up marketing campaigns, and following up on inbound inquiries

Specifically, these are some examples of your day to day activities:

  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel company's growth
  • Make outbound phone calls and outbound emails each day
  • Manage your named accounts, own your territory, and help maintain data integrity in Salesforce.com
  • Support marketing efforts by assisting in demand generation campaigns
  • Achieve, or exceed, weekly and monthly metrics including sales activities, meetings set, qualified leads, and new contacts prospected
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Report (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Requirements

  • Have a strong desire to launch a career in the world of software sales

  • Possess a go-getter attitude! You strive to turn any “No!” you get into a “Yes!”
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, SDR or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
