About Take Command
Take Command is a start-up on a mission to improve the healthcare system, starting with health insurance. Pragmatically speaking, we help employers reimburse employees for individual insurance instead of offering a traditional one-size-fits-all group plan. We believe this model can empower employees (when they have the right support) to be savvy healthcare consumers and have a transformative impact on the entire healthcare system.
Let’s be honest—health insurance is usually a confusing, frustrating, and even emotional experience for people. We want to fix that with a new model, great technology, and a superior user experience. We have made a great start, but we need your help to fully realize our long-term vision.
This role is perfect for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty with data across tools like Excel, HubSpot, Looker, and more. You’ll be diving under the hood of our systems to manage imports, exports, and reporting that helps our teams make smart, fast decisions. If you are analytical and detail focused with a results driven mindset, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data imports, exports, and transformations across internal and external systems including HubSpot, Looker, and proprietary platforms.
- Maintain and analyze large datasets in Excel, using advanced formulas, and pivot tables as needed to support business decisions.
- Support cross-functional stakeholders by creating reports, dashboards, and insights to drive strategy and execution.
- Monitor data quality, integrity, and compliance across multiple operational tools and CRM platforms.
- Document analytical processes and workflows in Confluence to ensure transparency and repeatability.
- Assist in scoping and implementing operational improvements using data insights and process automation.
- Maintain operational analytics and reporting for business health metrics, KPIs, and team performance.
Qualifications:
- 1 -3 years of experience in analytical operations, business intelligence, or a data-heavy role—ideally in SaaS, health tech, or insurance.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, nested formulas, macros).
- Hands-on experience working with platforms such as HubSpot, Looker, and Confluence.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Comfortable identifying and implementing process improvements and automations.
- Strong communication skills to present data insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ability to document, standardize and streamline procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or similar) preferred.
Compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 DOE plus a potential 5% annual bonus
