Role Summary

Operate and manage activities for Mavenir deployed solutions. Update service assurance scripts/tools to ensure the service availability at any time apart from planned maintenance window. Work with customer and system Engineering team to freeze the requirements before execution. Lead technical discussion with teams involved in development and implementation. Understand the customer requirements for features supported or working on potential change request (CR’s). Provide the feasibility analysis for feature implementation. Work with design team to understand change requests, verify all the supporting documents and analyze the CR for feasibility of implementation in the existing architecture. Analyze changes and plan respective implementation in the current architecture of the product. Interact with the design team internally and plan project time lines. Interact with the design and R&D team to plan the timelines of the CR. Confer with the R&D team to understand the CR and implement the development and internal testing activity. Gather required information regarding the time frame in development and delivery of the updated software to estimate the entire development life cycle and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Position requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering.

Job Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering. Experience must include the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • VOIP, SIP and IMS, Openstack, NFV architecture.
  • Test tools GDB, CQCM, Qualcomm Tools such as PST, Test Central, Radio COMM, Test studio, Wire shark, Ethereal, Version One.
  • Integration with Radisys MRF, Nokia CSCF, Cisco Switches.
  • Hardware platforms from HP, Dell, Intel.
  • Open stack releases utilizing in-depth knowledge of server installation, issue debugging, troubleshooting.
  • IMS Network Architecture Protocols and Call Flows; Spec (ETSI/3GPP) based knowledge on Telecom Messaging call flows and Protocols – SS7, SiGTRAN, MAP, SMPP, MM4, RCS; Access Network and hand off to IMS for VoLTE.
  • Troubleshooting Site issues using TRLs CDRs Call Trace, and other relevant tools.
  • Python, Shell or equivalent scripting language to design and support the Call Flow Testing and debugging.
  • Git, Harbor, Jfrog
  • Network design and IP assignments based on the dimensioning.
