Role Summary

Job description: Design, develop, implement, secure, and optimize scalable, highly available architectures both in application and physical infrastructure through Agile software development lifecycle using advanced technologies MSFT Visual Studio, C#, JavaScript, and MySQL. Develop automated builds, configurations, and UNIX/LINUX scripting with cross platform and threaded development in Bash and Python. Troubleshoot problems, research alternate solutions to these problems, evaluating, analyzing, and combining alternatives to reach best solution. Design, develop and implement frameworks to monitor the performance of the production environment as well as live traffic debugging using MSIS and Python. Deploy, modify scripts, and/or test software needed for various projects using cutting edge technologies across different virtual environment including OpenStack and VMware. Implement and configure virtualization solutions based on VMware vSphereESXi, ESX platform, vCenter and move VM's from one LUN to another LUN using Storage VMotion. Perform capacity planning and performance monitoring infrastructure or application changes to improve performance. Implement automated local user provisioning in instances created in OpenStack cloud through Ansible Play books. Deploy/Provision RHEL 7.2 servers, Cassandra and Cinder volumes on OpenStack. Develop new solutions for compliance programs, while also developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts aligned to business needs. Coordinate and perform installation, operation and maintenance, modification, testing, troubleshooting, documentation of new and complex cross platform systems. Deploy new releases of Software Upgrades & Patches using automated bash and python scripts. Understanding of Rich Communication Suite, UP2.2/2.3 call flows including Anti-Spam, Chat bot communication, multi-device, and multi-sim architecture, NNI Peering, Archival and Lawful Intercept. Acquaint end-user with full capabilities of applications/systems for immediate operational requirements and suggest other possible applications. Position is fixed location based in Richardson, TX office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed up to 20% of the time.

Job Requirements

Job requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications and Software Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications and Software Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering. The experience that is required must have involved the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
