Role Summary

As a RAN Software Developer, you will join the 5G R&D team and will be responsible for the productization of OpenRAN-based system product. Mainly in the L1 7.2x area development and support.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include Layer 1 (Oran 7.2x) design activities such as:
Layer 1 (Oran 7.2 Software design and implementation)
Active part in Customer solution design
Design documentation
Functional trouble shootings
Support Product integration
Support field performance activities

Job Requirements

Programming Knowledge and Skills

Expertise in C (mainly) and working knowledge in C++

Programming with DPDK is nice to have
Experience working on multi-threading, hyper threading servers and configuring/ bringing up environments.
Core-dump crash analysis, issue debugging etc.
Experience with scripting languages, for example python or shell, is nice to have

Experience with tunning of make, build and link scripts is nice to have

Domain Knowledge

1. Knowledge of NR/5G and LTE/4G
a. Mainly in the access stratum area [L3 (RRC), L2 (PDCP, RLC, MAC), L1 (PHY)], with stress on L1 (PHY) [We closely work with L1 team]
b. Log analysis from Network or Handset side or both.
c. Any expertise or experience on features like massive MIMO, beamforming etc, is good to have.
d. Able to use the signal analyzer to check the spectrum, constellation.

2. Knowledge on Open-RAN systems
a. Knowledge on O-RAN specifications and the concept of Open RAN
b. Can analyze eCPRI Logs captured using wireshark
c. Can plot the IQ data from the wireshark logs
d. Knowledge on IOT profile to discuss with Radio Vendors to align with the company requirements

Others
1. Knowledge on git / gerrit for code commit and maintenance

2. Experience with Linux development environment
3. Problem solving capabilities
