Role Summary

Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and meeting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all customer-initiated trouble tickets related to 4G and 5G radio hardware and software issues
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with internal stakeholders and external customers, providing frequent updates on issue statuses and expected resolution times
  • Produce detailed reports outlining the status of current issues, including data analysis, root cause assessments, and progress toward resolution
  • Develop and implement customer-specific deployment strategies to facilitate the efficient roll-out of new hardware and software
  • Engage throughout the entire Troubleshooting process by coordinating with cross-functional teams to root-cause issues, ensuring a comprehensive resolution is reached
  • Continuously assess and refine customer engagement and technical troubleshooting processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, such as engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to resolve issues effectively
  • Develop materials and conduct best-practice sessions to educate across the support-functions and also towards customers for hardware and software functionalities
  • Handle and resolve escalated customer issues, coordinating with senior management when necessary

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in a R&D function for 4G and 5G Radio-Access, profund in RRC and subsequent Layer 1 to 3 analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years in a R&D subject-matter-expert role leading the analysis of Radio-Access issues across HW and SW including end-device capability dependencies
  • Experience as a Radio-Access Product Manager overseeing a HW or SW lifecycle from early development till deployment is a plus
  • Proficiency in early detection of technical Radio-Access network issues, by identifying potential root-cause focus areas within the e2e physical / logical chain between device, radio and baseband HW and SW
  • Proficiency in the 5G FR1 mMIMO HW & SW functionalities and 3gpp driven evolution including device capabilities for advanced beamforming techniques
  • Proficiency in fronthaul logs and TTI-Traces analysis for deterministic root-cause investigation
  • Proficiency around mitigation efforts of atmospheric ducting into TDD radio systems
  • Knowledge of O-RAN open fronthaul specifications towards m- and c-plane ‘mutli-vendor’ profiling and integration between radio and baseband
  • Knowldege of the ULPI functional architecture and L1 specifications of multiple options between radio and baseband processing
