Role Summary

Design and prepare solutions for Telecom Networks, Small Cells, Private Networks, AI/ML, IMS, 5GC, NonRT RIC, NearRT RIC MIMO and mMIMO O-RAN. Network design, CPU, Memory, Disk storage for the ORAN CNF and 4G/5G Packet Core CNF in customer labs and field. Update the RAN tool to suit customer needs for the installation of Telecom Network - IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, Baseband CU-DU, Radio RRU to setup the Kubernetes cluster as foundation bed for ORAN NF and 5G core. Support the customer to troubleshoot and fix Kubernetes based platform complexities to maintain Container Attached Services and avoid downtimes in customer premises. Support customer CI/CD activities by factoring in Capacity demand for future subscriber growth. Lead the design of comprehensive and complex technical solutions addressing North America needs for SMO, OCloud, RAN CNF and articulate all competitive advantages of Mavenir’ s portfolio during proposals, bids and RFx process. Position is fixed based in Richardson, TX office; However, telecommuting from a home office location is allowed. Up to 30% travel required to visit clients.

Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of experience in a Wireless Telecommunications Industry occupation or related or a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience in a Wireless Telecommunications Industry occupation or related.

• Must have at least two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
• Experience with IMS Network Architecture Protocols and Call Flows
• Experience with ETSI/3GPP/ORAN Alliance based knowledge on Telecom Messaging call flows and Protocols, including RF Physical Layer1/2/3, MAC, and PDCP Transport
• Experience with Radio Access Network and hand off to IMS for VoLTE
• Experience troubleshooting Site issues using Logfiles, CDRs Cell Trace, and other relevant tools, including TEMS Investigation, QXDM, XCAL, and Wireshark
• Experience with COTS server specification
• Experience with ORAN CU-DU and RRU technical knowledge and dimensioning knowledge
